Volunteering :)
In order to attend class field trips or volunteer in the school, parents and relatives must have updated clearances.
If the volunteer has lived in PA for LESS than ten years, he or she will need the FBI fingerprint clearance, PA state police clearance (background check), and the PA child abuse clearance.
If the volunteer has lived in PA for MORE than ten years, he or she will NOT need the fingerprint clearance, but will still need the PA state police clearance and the PA child abuse clearance, as well as a disclosure statement found at http://www.childyouthprotection.org/index.php/staff-volunteers/checks-and-clearances .
Both the PA state police clearance and the child abuse one can be done online. They only take a few minutes and can be printed from home.
